Why would a metal band choose to focus on worship? We can already hear the gears inside the minds of a lot of people turning, pondering, and questioning!

Metal and worship? Aren’t those polar opposites?
On the surface, yes, it makes absolutely no sense at all. But, then again, we’re not looking on the surface. We want to go deeper.
Much deeper!
The Metal community isn’t something you just wake up one day and decide to be in. It’s a way of life. Looking at the world through a different lens, questioning the narratives given by the media and raging against authoritative rules.
Christianity is much the same way. Unlike what the media likes to portray, sold out Christians are some of the most hard-core people on the planet. We also have no problem going against what the masses embrace. We will also gladly stand in defiance of evil, whether our beliefs are popular or not.
Are you seeing the connection yet?
We are 4 seasoned musicians, each having success in our own right with previous bands and projects. However, being the radicals that we are in both being Christians and being Metal to the very core of our existence, we felt that God was calling each of us to come together to bring not only some great music to the scene, but to do it to the fullest of our abilities.
As we began the project that started by a few guys jamming on the back porch in Kenya, East Africa, we began to share our hearts about how a lot of modern Christian worship music doesn’t seem to reach the Metal community.
As we talked more, we began to discuss how great it must have been to have the Upper Room experience spoken of in the book of Acts. Then the question came about. Could we do that with music? Could we make intense worship that compromises nothing of who we are and how we play?
Can we press into the Word, in prayer and music, led by God, in order to lead masses in a worship experience on the very edge of what they’ve ever experienced?
That is who we are and what we have been led to do. So, please join us on this journey. Join us At The Mountain!
