Who are you?
I play guitar in At The Mountain.
I’m 43 and I’ve been married to my wonderful wife Maria for almost 18 years. Our son Max is 7 and we live in Aarhus, Denmark.
I love traveling and I’m also very involved in our local church with kids ministries.

Describe your walk with God
I’ve been a believer almost all my life. In my twenties I wrestled with philosophical and existential questions and saw what my life looked like without belief in God and it wasn’t beautiful.
Life reduced to mere chemicals and random coincidences (life without God) makes no sense to me and today I struggle to understand how life without faith is even possible.
I think we all hold beliefs (some more conscious than others) and a quick look at our life and our choices reveals what we actually believe and live for.
I enjoy walking closely with Jesus on a daily basis. I’ve come to really enjoy prayer and my Bible and today I cannot imagine a life without him!

Why are you a part of “At The Mountain”?
This project is so dear to me. I’ve played music since age five, where I picked up piano and borrowed my brother trumpet.
I switched to electric guitar at age 16 when I discovered hard rock.
As a very young teenager I made an oath to God regarding my music – I told him I’d focus my music on him. That promise has followed me as a compass and it has never made more sense than now with At The Mountain.
Finally, I have a band with 100% focus on worshipping the creator of the universe and music itself. I absolutely love writing and playing this music.

What are your musical influences?
As a kid of the 90s I quickly discovered Tourniquet, Mortification, Precious Death, etc. and fell in love with the sound of the distorted guitar and fast bass drums.
In the 00s I discovered bands such as Selfmindead, Project 86, Living Sacrifice, Extol, Norma Jean, Benea Reach, The Chariot, As I Lay Dying, The Blamed, Stavesacre, and many more. They have all been huge influences for my rhythms and melodies!
You’ll hear that in Roselyn, that I started with Jonas and my former band Barricades where Andreas and I played guitars.
A also spent a couple of years as a live musician (guitar and trumpet) for Lampshade, a Danish/Swedish post rock band with big noisy soundscapes inspired by bands such as Sigur Ros, Mogwai, and Björk. These years also helped me develop my trumpet sound.

How do you get your sound?
I use an LTD Viper guitar with Lundgreen pickups and my pedal setup varies from band to band but for At The Mountain I use these pedals a lot:
- Mighty “Butt-Thrust” for that big defined fuzz distortion sound.
- Digitech “The Drop” for low tuning.
- T-REX “Octavius” for adding deep octaves.
I use the Peavey 6505+ 120W amp amp head with various speaker cabinets.
My trumpet is a Yamaha YTR-2330 Trumpet.
